A post dedicated to Mayday

Yesterday I had a dinner gathering with some of my old mates from Liverpool. Well, one topic led to another, and at some point we were talking about movies and I cant help but mentioning the Mayday movie 追梦3DNA which is currently showing in cinema. I was getting all excited and pumped up talking about my favourite band and how i'm so eager and cant wait to watch the movie. My friends looking at me as though i'm from another dimension or generation but i don't care because they are the epitome of Chinese rock music of the late 90s. They were the true dawn of the "Student-band-turned-biggest-Chinese-band-of-the-era", which subsequently led to the born of many many other Chinese student band and the popularization of such kind of music genre. Frankly, even today, i say that they still hold the title of the biggest Chinese band on earth with no doubt at all.

10 years ago i picked up guitar and learnt to play my first chinese song -Mayday's 溫柔. Since then 10 years have passed, and today when i listened to their latest rendition of the song which accompany me through many many days and nights of my youthful days, it still stir up the same emotion inside of me. It reminded me of the youthful dreams which i used to have; the burning passion of wanting to stand on the stage to sing; the lesson of never ever give up what the heart desire... gosh, it was the 18 years old me which i missed the most. The me who was happy just by listening to a Mayday's song; the me who never recognize failure as a choice and who will keep on going forward bumps after bumps; the simple me who just love to sing and nothing more.

I remembered I wrote something about my passion for singing some years ago. Just a simple search (thanks to the blogger's fabulous search features) and i was able to retrieve not just one, but many many of posts of which i've wrote about singing:

and many many more... and heck, i cant even stand myself repeating the tagline "Music is the passion of my life" literally in every of those posts like its some kind of mantra.

Anyway, just to share with you the song which i can still remember every words in the lyrics and every notes in the melody after 10 years. If you feel they are somewhat good, come join me for the movie.

Official Wedding Photo Pt 2: The groom

The man with the boyish charm. With his rich facial expression, its stupid for me not to spice up the pictures with some funny dialogues.

So the lady say yes and married him. The end.

I love his contented face whenever he sees good food, the big drumstick in his bowl of mee suah just made his day.

My Girls

A friend created a facebook account for me not long ago. So that i can 'grab' some of the photos which my close friends had uploaded online. Frankly, i still couldnt see much of the benefit of maintaining a fb account, except from the ease of "photo stealing". So most of the time, the account was left idle until my faithful girlfriends ping me to check out the discussion board (or whatever you call it) to keep myself updated with some of the outings which they have planned in my 'virtual absence' (why everyone like to plan events in fb arr?).

These are the two photos i loved the most which i've grabbed from one of my girls's fb photo gallery. They are so funny and cute, and i keep counting those who are in the photos to figure out who was the photographer. its Chek right? It was a detour trip to Melaka after our 1 night stay in PD. and boy, we enjoyed it so much. There were many other hilarious photos of us making funny faces while dipping (cant say swimming) in the swimming pool, oh and there were sexy bikinis as well, which of course i'm not gonna share it here.

Well, the reason i'm sharing this is because I cant wait for this weekend trip to Melaka again. I hope all of us will be there but i think some of the gals cannot make it. so sad. LOH JIAVERN AND CHONG SIN TEE, I'm talking to both of YOU!

Anyway girls, lets bring swimsuit this time k (i promise to bring mine, i bought it during my hot spring trip in taiwan), i'm sure it will be SUPER FUN!
